A roof rack is not available for all Tesla models. This article shows an overview roof rack variants for Tesla Model 3, Model S and Model X and Model Y:
Roof rack for Tesla Model 3 and Model Y
A roof rack with T-shaped slots from Tesla is available as an accessory for all versions of the Model 3. The load capacity is 65 kg. This also includes the weight of any attachments.
The product is shown in the Tesla US Online Shop. In Europe it can be ordered via the service center. The best way to do this is to select the item “Book service appointment” -> “Accessory installation and upgrades” in the mobile phone app. Tesla will then contact you.
Fastening the brackets to a glass roof does not make me personally feel good. But on these photos of a Model 3 with removed glass roof, you can see how the metal guides under the glass roof look like. The whole thing is more stable than it looks at first sight and I have more confidence in this system than, for example, in third-party products with suction cups.
Unfortunately the Model 3 roof rack is not straight but slightly bent. This is clearly visible on these pictures. This can make it difficult to mount a roof box depending on the mounting bracket.

An interesting test regarding energy consumption was made by a Model 3 driver. He mounted the roof box flipped around.

Roof rack for Tesla Model S
For the Model S with metal roof there is no possibility to use a roof rack.
For the panorama roof (the glass roof WITH sliding roof), special mounts are installed directly in the vehicle roof under plastic covers. The Tesla Service Centre offers a compatible roof rack. To order outside of US, simply select in the mobile phone app: “Book a service appointment” -> “Accessories installation and upgrades”. Tesla will then contact you.
But pictures and an assembly video are available on the US website. The maximum load capacity of this roof rack is 75 kg. This also includes the weight of any attachments.

For the glass roof (the glass roof WITHOUT sliding roof), a special roof rack is also available from the Tesla Service Centre. The best way to do this is simply to select in the mobile phone app the menu “Book service appointment” -> “Accessory installation and upgrades”. Tesla will then contact you.
For Model S with glass roof built before February 11, 2019, however, an additional retrofit option is required for a fee. Pictures of the glass roof rack can be found on the US website. The maximum load capacity of this roof rack is 65 kg. This also includes the weight of any attachments.

Roof rack for Tesla Model X
With Model X, a roof rack cannot be used because of the Falconwing doors. However, the Model X has a trailer hitch, which is not available on the Model S. The Model S can only be used with third party towbars, but these are only approved for bicycle carriers and not for towing trailers.
